2003 Catalogue Publications and information resources on emergencies and disasters Pan-American Health Organization Regional Office of the World Health Organization

For many years, publishing and disseminating technical books and documents have represented an important component of the work done by PAHO in the field of disasters. In this context, a new political commitment has renewed the willingness of this organization to continue working on the creation, updating, dissemination and distribution of such materials.

The 2003 edition of this Catalogue represents a good example of this ongoing effort. The Catalogue classifies all technical information resources that PAHO has available in the field emergencies and disasters. In addition, new titles have been added, such as the edition of the 2003 electronic collection of the Virtual Library on Health and Disasters, and the training material on Hospital Planning for Disasters.
