Health achievements in Central America five years after Hurricane Mitch
PAHO/WHO

We hope that the following pages serve
as a testament and recognition to the professional work and commitment
of thousands of people who have been, and still are, the direct performers
of all activities carried out under the project entitled Vulnerability
Reduction and Disaster Preparedness in Countries affected by Hurricane
Mitch. Projects have a deadline, but this one represents a good example
of how actions undertaken and the experience acquired are transformed
in knowledge that allows better health services to be provided, as well
as better quality of life for populations at risk to be achieved.
