Guide for
the manual entitled “Learning
to conserve water and protect our micro-watersheds”
This guide is intended to support the training component of the manual
entitled “Learning to conserve water and protect our micro-watersheds.” The
document was prepared in the context of an inter-institutional cooperation
agreement between the Institute for Water Management and the Environment
(IMA), of the Regional Government of Cusco, and the Rural Water Supply
and Sanitation Services Project (SANBASUR), with the financial support
of SDC-Humanitarian Aid.
- The guide
has two distinct components: The methodological guide, which provides
guidelines and direction for trainers, with the purpose of raising
awareness among organized
communities,
and obtain their commitment and active participation in water conservation
and disaster risk management by applying a proactive and preventive approach.
- The information
guide, which intends to expand the knowledge and theoretical base
of water resource and land management (from a conservationist standpoint)
and on disaster risk management at the community level.
