Welcome to the Media section of the VI Regional Platform for the Americas (PR18). Please visit this section to be aware of important dates and updated information on PR18.
The media are invited to cover PR18 to learn more about Colombia's priorities and the regional priorities of the Americas, including commitments to improve national, hemispheric and international resilience. PR18 will focus on identifying how governments, civil society leaders, technical and scientific institutions, the private sector and the media can work together to strengthen the capacities of the region and to achieve the objectives of the Sendai Framework.
The exhibition, the plenary sessions, and the parallel events of disaster risk reduction will be available and open to credentialed media during PR18 (with the exception of the special sessions defined in the Agenda). The Press Conference area and the Media Center will be available for the media to have the opportunity to talk with the delegates during the event.
A detailed itinerary of the media will be shared with the registered media closest to the event.
In the meantime, please read the Media Logistics Notes with important information for media, and the same ones that refer to your participation in the PR18.
All media representatives are required to register online to access the Media Center and to cover PR18 as well as to identify if they have special needs for media, please fill in all this information until May 15, 2018.
