Integrating risk management into the development processes is a responsibility that must also be assumed by civil society. One of the mechanisms that the Campaign provides for the participation of civil society is the role of Advocate. An advocate is a person who has excelled at the national and/or local level in risk management activities; particularly in spreading the message of the Making Cities Resilient campaign. The role of an Advocate is honorary and is undertaken voluntarily. For more information on the role of Advocates visit: http://www.unisdr.org/campaign/resilientcities/assets/documents/Advocate-Guidelines.pdf
